Sydney families are benefiting from an expanded childcare subsidy program that increases access to early childhood education across the metropolitan area. The program includes funding for early childhood educator training and improved wage support. The NSW Government has partnered with TAFE NSW to expand diploma-level qualifications, addressing the sector's ongoing workforce shortage. According to the department, educator vacancy rates have declined since the program's announcement.
