Sydney's public art programme is expanding with new installations across the CBD and waterfront precincts. The Barangaroo precinct hosts dedicated outdoor art installations as part of the biennale programme.
The NSW Government has allocated funding through Destination NSW to support the public art programme across the metropolitan area. New installations are being commissioned across the CBD, Barangaroo, and Darling Harbour precincts. The programme includes large-scale sculptures, interactive digital installations, and community-led art projects.
The Vivid Sydney festival also features public art installations as part of its light programme. The Sydney Harbour Bridge remains the centrepiece, with LED displays visible from across the harbour. The Mandylights team has expanded the "Our Connected City" artwork to include the Barangaroo foreshore this year.
